Introduction to
Observing - Students will learn about objects astronomers look at
in our universe and how to navigate the night sky to find planets,
stars and other interesting objects with binoculars or a
telescope. This class meets 4 Saturdays from 9:30am until
11:15am |

Introduction to
Astronomy - Students will learn about the origin and development
of our universe, our galaxy (the Milky Way), and our solar system
- as well as what else is out there of interest to astronomers,
like nebula, star clusters, and black holes. Students will also
learn about some historical figures and discoveries in astronomy
as well as exciting new research. We'll also provide some guidance
on what education requirements and career opportunities could lie
ahead if they want to become an astronomer or astrophysicist.
This class meets 4 Saturdays from 11:45am until 1:30pm |
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND RCA YOUTH ASTRONOMY ACADEMY

Youth Astronomy Academy is an RCA Membership benefit and if the
student is a member of an RCA family membership, then the fee will
be $50 per class.
If the student is not a member of an RCA Family, they will
obtain their own RCA Student membership for an additional $12
(with all the privileges of RCA membership)
